A. ABCISSION LAYER: Layer of cork that forms at the base of the petiole causing the leaf to fall. ACCENT PLANT: A seperate potted grass or plant sometimes seasonal, can even be a small Bonsai. ALTERNATE: Leaves that apear singly on oposite sides of the shoot. ANNEALED: Heating Wire until its red hot and letting it cool down slowly. ANODISED: A process that turns aluminium wire a brown color. APEX: The peak of a tree or the growing tip of a shoot. APHICAL: The tip of a shoot (the top) eg: Aphical bud (the leading bud of a shoot) AXIL: The angle between the stem of a plant and the leaf stalk (petiole) |
